Description: This seminar will cover lessons learned in applying machine learning and deep learning methods to modeling complex systems using data generated from test and evaluation as well as simulation. Motivating examples will be presented along with discussion on the benefits and drawbacks of training ML models solely on data from each source. Practical examples will be provided using synthetic datasets modeled after real DoD problems to demonstrate the development of data fusion models for dynamical systems.
