Description: This seminar will discuss the AMD ROCm profilers including ROCProfiler, ROCm Compute Profiler, and ROCm Systems Profiler. Background on AMD GPUs and guidance on accessing each profiler on HPCMP systems or installing each profiler is provided. Guidance is provided on using each profiler and taking advantage of their capabilities to better understand the performance of applications running on AMD GPUs. ROCProfiler is a simpler command line tool for analyzing AMD GPU performance. ROCm Compute Profiler provides kernel-level profiling for AMD GPU applications to more deeply analyze GPU kernels. ROCm Systems Profiler provides full application profiling for AMD GPU applications focused on the CPU side of GPU applications. This combination of profilers allows users to gain more detailed insights on the performance of GPU applications running on AMD GPUs.
