Description: This seminar covers PBS and Slurm commands, mapping commands from one to the other, and the distinct methods of specifying batch parameters such as specifying nodes, queues, and constraints. This information eases transitioning workloads between HPCs. To go beyond hand-editing scripts, this training provides methods that automatically handle HPC differences. This includes using one script to submit a job or a multi-step workflow, handling queues, node specifications, job parameters, job arrays, and job dependencies. Examples cover subsets of these needs, from adapting a simple batch job to orchestrating a complex workflow with each step adapting to each HPC.
