Description: Python is an extremely popular and user-friendly programming language with a wealth of online documentation and packages for various applications, however, it is inherently slower than older procedural languages such as Fortran and C. This seminar will explain the computational disadvantages of native Python and how to avoid them in writing efficient code for HPC applications.
