Description: This seminar will serve as a sequel to Intrinsic Parallel Capabilities in Modern Fortran by providing a complete sample program illustrating the use of many of the parallel features added to the Fortran language.

The seminar will also make use of the Fortran Package Manager (fpm), a tool that has been developed by the Fortran community (see, especially, fortran-lang.org) and is written in pure Fortran to promote a more active Fortran development ecosystem. The development of a program from outline to execution will be demonstrated in this seminar. The program will make use of features of coarrays and DO CONCURRENT loops, recently added parallel features of the language (see Intrinsic Parallel Capabilities in Modern Fortran for an overview of these features).
