Description: This training event will give an overview of the intrinsic parallel programming capabilities that have been added to the Fortran programming language standard in 2008 and 2018. This seminar will cover implementation, compilation, and execution of programs using these capabilities; which compilers currently support these capabilities; comparison to other parallel programming tools (e.g., MPI, OpenMP); and the advantages and disadvantages of using these capabilities.
