Description: Singularity is a container platform that allows users to create and run containers that package up pieces of software in a way that is portable and reproducible, removing underlying Operating System dependencies. Singularity is installed on all DOD HPC resources, and each system now has support for the “fakeroot” capability, which allows unprivileged users to build containers directly on HPC resources. Learn to build and run customized Singularity containers from the ground up with representative examples covering container builds and execution on DoD HPC systems.
