Description: Source–Level Code Optimization involves the modification of the user code (but not the algorithm) to improve the code’s efficiency and run-time. This seminar will discuss the optimization process, CPU/Memory architectural aspects that have a large impact on performance, and multiple examples of simple modifications that programmers at any level can perform. 10-20 short examples in both C and Fortran will be provided and discussed.
