Description: Learn to build Singularity containers on DOD HPC resources. Singularity is a container platform that allows ordinary users to create and run containers that package up pieces of software in a way that is portable and reproducible, removing underlying Operating System dependencies. Singularity is installed on all DOD HPC resources. With the new “fakeroot” capability, users can build containers directly on an expanding set of HPC resources including the Portal Appliance.
