Description: Numerical Python (NumPy) is the main package for scientific computing in Python. It is maintained by a large community (www.numpy.org). Effective data-driven science and computation requires understanding how data is stored and manipulated. This seminar takes a deeper look into the NumPy library and includes more advanced array manipulations and algorithms not covered in the previous "Introduction to Numerical Python (NumPy)". An HPC system will be used to access and run a Jupyter notebook to go through the material and Python version 3 is recommended.
